Chamfering pipe Introduction
Chamfer process purpose is to get even and smooth ends edge for better usage, in this stage the length will be processed more precisely.
Chamfering refers to cutting the edges and corners of the pipes or workpiece into a certain slope. Chamfering is to remove the burr caused by machining on parts, and to facilitate the assembly of parts, chamfering is generally made at the end of parts.
Generally, the function of chamfering is to remove burr and make it beautiful. However, the chamfering specified in the drawing is generally required by the installation process, such as the installation guide of bearings, and some arc chamfering (or called arc transition) can also reduce the stress concentration and strengthen the strength of shaft parts. In addition, it can also make assembly easy, usually before the end of processing. In agricultural machinery parts, especially the end faces of round fittings and round holes, the chamfering angle of about 45 degree is often processed. These chamfering has many functions. We must carefully check and make full use of them in maintenance work, otherwise it will bring many difficulties to agricultural machinery maintenance and even cause unexpected faults. For example, before the forming process of small parts such as bolts, chamfering is also carried out to facilitate the material to enter the forming mold.
1)Bearing steel pipes must have chamfering before heat treatment, which is very important for the release of stress, redistribution of internal structure, less crack and reduction of deformation. Chamfering process can solve the problem of stress concentration.
2)Chamfering will dispel the burr, making the products and pipes not sharp, and will not hurt the users.
3)It plays a role of guiding and positioning during assembly.
